Rachel Dillickraeth, MA, LMHC

At this time, I am providing both in-person and tele-health services.

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Nationally Certified Counselor experienced in working with adolescents, adults, couples, and families to overcome issues that are creating distress. I utilize a collaborative and compassionate counseling style, empowering you to create a more balanced and satisfying life. I offer a safe place to share feelings, discuss problems, build emotional strength and resiliency, and gain some perspective on the issue at hand.

I have experience in a variety of settings from outpatient counseling to residential treatment.  I  utilize multiple treatment modalities in my daily practice based upon your individual needs, personality, and background.  I offer Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy to create coping skills for anxiety, panic, obsessive thinking, and emotional distress.   I work with you to foster hope, create connection when feeling detached, and develop meaningful relationships.  I am passionate about helping clients recognize their own strengths and develop self esteem.

I have worked extensively with adults coping with life transitions. This includes transitioning to college and assisting with connection to accessibility services to support each individual’s potential for academic success. I also work to support clients coping with other transitions such changes to career, divorce, grief and loss, aging parents, and many other life changes. I work with clients on documentation needed for emotional support animals as well.

I have experience working with parents and families with a loved one struggling with a mental health disorder. I provide psychoeducation, guidance, and coaching on navigating the services available to them through the school and community, and provide family counseling and emotional support to foster open communication, acceptance, and healthy relationships within the family.

I am experienced with Depressive Disorders, Anxiety Disorders (Social Anxiety, Generalized Anxiety, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder),  Self Esteem, Codependency, Communication and Social Struggles, and Autism Spectrum Disorder (formerly identified as Asperger’s Syndrome). I have also worked extensively with families coping with the mental illness of a loved one.

Rachel is also a Qualified Supervisor for Registered Mental Health Counseling Interns, providing education, support, and guidance for counselors in the beginning of their career.

The first step toward change may be daunting, particularly if you are new to counseling. Ultimately, it will be an integral part of building perspective, coping skills, and self esteem. We will work together on your chosen goals. Your strengths, challenges, life experiences, values, and beliefs will be respected throughout the process.
